The Infant Jesus of Prague originally came from Spain. The legend tells that the Infant Jesus appeared miraculously to a certain monk, who modelled the statue based on the appearance of the apparition.
The monuments of the Royal Town Kolin remind of its rich past. Regular ground plan of streets and the main square in Kolin are fine examples of highly advanced medieval urbanism of the 13th century. The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew is an exceptional masterpiece of Late Gothic architecture.
